Features: "Metallographic Atlas of Metallic Materials" is divided into two volumes (12 chapters). The first volume includes: cast iron, structural steel, inclusions in steel, tool and die steel, and special steel; the second volume includes: welded parts, powder metallurgy, surface diffusion coatings, copper and copper alloys, aluminum and aluminum alloys, bearing alloys, and other non-ferrous metals (including titanium and titanium alloys, zinc and zinc alloys, lead and lead alloys, magnesium and magnesium alloys, nickel and nickel alloys, and other alloys). The first part of each chapter provides a brief textual introduction to the material classification, processing technology, microstructure characteristics, and inspection methods closely related to the chapter's images. The second part of each chapter consists of metallographic images, including figure numbers, material names, etchants, treatment conditions, and microstructure descriptions. The images are selected from common normal microstructure images, defect microstructure images, and failure analysis microstructure images encountered in research and production, totaling 4,634 images. This book is suitable for metallographers, hot processing technicians, engineering technicians from material production and usage units, and researchers. It can also be used as a reference for faculty and students of relevant majors in colleges and universities.
