How is the hepatitis B virus treated?

Patient's question:

Hello, how is the treatment for the hepatitis B virus? Are there any good methods for treatment? Please give me some advice from a doctor.

Doctor's answer:

A hepatitis B virus carrier (HBsAg carrier) refers to an individual who is positive for HBsAg but shows no symptoms or signs of hepatitis, with normal liver function test results, and remains unchanged after six months of observation. HBsAg carriers are not the same as hepatitis B patients. These carriers should not be treated as active hepatitis patients. Except for being ineligible to donate blood or work in jobs involving direct contact with food or childcare, they can continue their normal work and studies but require enhanced follow-up. HBsAg carriers should pay attention to personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, and occupational hygiene. Items such as toothbrushes, razors, and toiletries should be kept separate from those of healthy individuals.
