Features: Cultural economics is a significant form and phenomenon of human social development, and one of the fundamental driving forces behind it. Achieving a transformation in economic growth models and promoting the economic aspects of cultural development through cultural economics is a common cultural and economic practice in modern society. Researching the basic laws of cultural economic dynamics, revealing the role and significance of cultural economics in modern social progress and development, enriching the theoretical and policy systems regarding culture and economy, and promoting new models of social and national economic development under the guidance of the Central Propaganda Department—cultural economics is increasingly emerging as a new interdisciplinary field and a fresh scientific domain. This book was written based on years of teaching practice in the Cultural Management program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. After being published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University Press in 1996, it was adopted as a textbook by cultural management programs and relevant departments in many universities across China. At the time of the development of the "21st Century Cultural Management Series Textbooks," the authors revised and rewrote Chapters 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10.
