The book's distinctive feature is its realistic narrative style, which vividly recreates the history of the Long March. Accounts from commanders of both sides, operational orders, telegrams, and on-the-ground reports by foreign journalists allow readers to experience the war from a first-person perspective, fully appreciating its grandeur and details, and feeling the urgency and authenticity of the conflict. Interwoven throughout the book are over 60 images, which not only hold significant historical value but also help readers gain a more vivid understanding of history. This book, presented in a richly illustrated format, recreates the historical fact of the Red Army's Long March through Yunnan, and five related appendices enrich and supplement the historical records of this great endeavor from different perspectives.
