The descriptive entries include the title, number of volumes, author, edition, number of copies, format and line arrangement, annotations, notes, seals, and supplementary information. The dimensions of the pages marked in the descriptive entries are based on the inner edge of the border lines, generally using the first leaf of the surviving volume as a reference. Manuscripts without borders are not annotated. The descriptive entries indicate the holding institution, with the National Library of China abbreviated as "NLC" and the book number noted. The Shanghai Library is marked as "SL" with the book number noted. Private collections are recorded with the owner's surname and studio name. Descriptive entries marked with an asterisk are not illustrated, while major collections, Daoist canons, and some series are accompanied by representative images. The catalog includes a four-corner number index for titles and authors.
