Philosophy and Social Sciences Chronicle

Author: Chengdu Academy of Social Sciences Editorial Board
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-06-01
Features: The main body of this chronicle is divided into three parts: Overview, Disciplines, and Research Institutions and Academic Organizations and Activities. The appendix includes a collection of literature and a list of editorial staff. The section on Disciplines is the core part of the chronicle. It is further divided into three subsections: Historical Development of Disciplines, Important Monographs and Papers, and Major Scholars. Due to the unique development and evolution of different disciplines, the chronological divisions for the historical development of disciplines are determined based on the specific circumstances of each discipline and are not uniformly standardized. The selection of important monographs and papers is divided into two parts: monographs and papers, with a focus on introducing academic achievements published by scholars within the Chengdu region from 1840 to 2000 that hold significant academic value and major influence. Since Chengdu's social sciences were revised for the second time, a large number of achievements were published either before the establishment of social science achievement awards by provincial and municipal governments or before the establishment of national key social science funding projects and the establishment of core journals. It is difficult to use the above conditions as a unified standard for identifying important monographs and papers. Therefore, the academic value and influence of the monographs and papers within their respective fields are used as the basis for identification, referencing the above conditions.
