Features: This book collects the historical reviews on the Ci poems and theories of Wu Wenying, as well as records of his life and deeds. Wu Wenying's Ci poems were relatively rare during the Yuan and Ming dynasties and were nearly lost, but after the mid-Qing period, they received exceptional attention, with numerous critiques emerging. This was closely related to the contemporary era. The focus of this book is on materials from the mid-Qing period onwards, making it not only a rich resource for scholars of Song Ci, Wu Wenying's Ci, or enthusiasts of Wu Wenying's works, but also an essential reference for the study of late-Qing and Republican-era Ci. The Song and Yuan sections, being close to Wu Wenying's time and having fewer materials, have a broader inclusion scope, aiming for completeness; while the Ming and Qing sections are selected for their quality. Works by He Yuan, except for those from the Song and Yuan dynasties included on a case-by-case basis, are generally excluded. For materials with identical content, the complete and earliest discussions are chosen. The arrangement of the collected materials follows the order of dynasties and birth years, though some authors' birth and death years are unclear, and are arranged accordingly. The materials are listed under the authors' names. Under the same author's name, the order is: primary collections first, followed by other works, and finally by materials cited by others. Materials cited by others without new insights or repetition are not included.
