Features: The "You and I, Ba Jin" series aims to collect and publish Ba Jin's works and related materials, presenting a series of illustrated and reader-friendly publications. The series includes four sub-series: "New Selected Works," "Correspondence," "Conversations with Eminent Figures," and "Illustrated Catalogue of Ba Jin's Collection." A significant portion of the content in these series is newly organized and published. The first three books launched in the "You and I, Ba Jin" series are:
- From "New Selected Works Series": A Journey Abroad—Diaries and Reflections from 1979 to 1984 and Four Anti-Fascist Picture Albums Selected and Annotated by Ba Jin;
- From "Conversations with Eminent Figures Series": Ba Lao and a Century—A Collection of Cultural Lectures in the "Getting Closer to Ba Jin" Series.
A Journey Abroad—Diaries and Reflections from 1979 to 1984 includes diaries, reflections, speeches, and interviews by Ba Jin during his visits to France, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, and other countries from 1979 to 1984. It is the first time these overseas-related writings from Ba Jin's later period have been published in a concentrated form. The diary entries are newly discovered and organized, appearing in print for the first time as a standalone volume. The reflections are selected from Ba Jin's important late work, Chronicles of Reflections, while some of the speeches and interviews also contain content not included in The Complete Works of Ba Jin.
