Features: There are many stories in the Bible, and many books have been written to tell these stories, but it is not easy to tell them well. I have seen some books on this subject, but most of them are layered with stories, tangled with characters, with pale narration and crude descriptions, making readers feel as if they are lost in a fog, with a messy mind. The book in front of me, though intended for children, shows the author's remarkable talent. First, the stories are carefully selected, from Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit, the flood of Noah's Ark, to the birth of Jesus in a manger, and finally his crucifixion, resurrection, and apparition—thirty-one stories are chosen, all the most famous and influential events in the Bible. Second, the narration is concise, without digressions or unnecessary details, so each story is clear, the themes are focused, and the characters are vivid and well-portrayed. Third, although the author is telling stories, the descriptions of characters and scenes are very delicate and lifelike, giving the book a strong literary flavor.
