Features: This issue selects materials related to teaching plans from the "Foreign Relations of the United States" (covering the period from 1870 to 1899). Among them, correspondence between officials of the Qing government and diplomatic representatives of Western countries in China is extensively recorded in official Chinese documents. For the sake of brevity, these are often omitted by general readers and not back-translated. This issue selects a total of forty-one cases of teaching plan archives, arranged in chronological order based on the first issuance of the documents. Names of Western diplomats, Western missionaries, and church institutions are recorded with their known Chinese names or established translations, with a corresponding table appended at the end for easy reference. Many original names in the text are only given as surnames, and this issue adds first names where known. Some document titles are proposed by the translators based on the content.
