Features: The New Century Japanese Course is a carefully crafted second-language and self-study Japanese textbook developed in collaboration by China's Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, Japan (Corp.) Publishing, and Japanese professor experts from the Department of Foreign Languages at Tsinghua University, as well as Ms. Misako Mizutani, a renowned Japanese educator from the Department of Foreign Languages at Meiji Gakuin University (formerly a professor at the Graduate School of Humanities, Ochanomizu University). It was meticulously designed to meet the needs of Japanese language teaching in China in the new century. This book contains approximately 2,000 words, divided into three levels. About 1,300 words appear in the texts and dialogues, belonging to the first level; new words in the exercises constitute the second level, with about 360 words. The related vocabulary listed in the word associations are all commonly used Japanese words that share the same form, meaning, or near-meaning as Chinese, and have the same pronunciation as the example words, totaling about 270 words.
