Features: Since 1895, when the great physicist Wilhelm R?ntgen of Germany discovered X-rays, he pioneered the emerging field of radiology. It has been 103 years since then. With the rapid development of modern technologies such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and digital subtraction angiography (DSA), important organs in various parts of the human body can now be obtained through computer imaging techniques, providing distorted solutions and pathological anatomical images. This has driven the unprecedented rapid development of radiology. To summarize the achievements of radiology in China and reflect new developments abroad, the editorial board of this book has jointly compiled this specialized volume on musculoskeletal system imaging. The book primarily discusses bone development, anatomy, trauma, physical injuries, infections, tumors, joint diseases, and soft tissue diseases around the joints, as well as hereditary, nutritional, endocrine, metabolic, and endemic bone diseases. It consists of 24 chapters, with each chapter providing an overview. Each disease category includes an overview and examples. Each example has unique characteristics, including difficult or multiple imaging comparisons or relatively special cases. Each case includes a brief medical history and clinical manifestations, along with corresponding X-ray, CT, MRI, and a small portion of DSA, ultrasound, and nuclear scan examinations, while also introducing the value of different imaging examinations. The book features a wide range of diseases, a large number of images, and complex disease types. It strives for clear images, prominent signs, conspicuous indications, and concise descriptions.
