Features: The development of academic endeavors is like the Yangtze River, with waves following waves, endless and continuous. It is also like the passing of the torch, with each generation building upon the achievements and experiences of the previous one, making the brilliance ever brighter. Later scholars must understand the work done by their predecessors, inherit their accomplishments and insights, and continue to advance on this foundation. The Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has gathered dozens of senior experts from dozens of disciplines within our institution. They have decades of research experience in their respective fields and have made significant contributions in their areas of expertise. The published series features representative works selected by each expert from their academic career, bringing them together for publication. This not only showcases the diligent academic paths they have traveled but also reflects the partial achievements and developments in various fields of philosophy and social sciences in China over the past few decades, especially since the reform and opening-up. It is a highly meaningful endeavor.
The collection presented to the readers is compiled from writings I have published over the years since 2000. The papers are organized into six sections based on content and chronological order. Each section begins with a brief introductory note to explain the background of the articles, aiding readers in understanding. The author has only made necessary corrections to the texts included in this collection. Since this is a collection of past works, it must reflect the authentic past, and I am more inclined to use the realities of today's social and economic development to test my past economic research. Therefore, there is no need to embellish yesterday's handwriting with today's understanding, as economics itself is a highly practical discipline.
Future development depends on whether people can scientifically and proactively recognize the future. My research on economic development trends over the past two decades has been dedicated to serving the needs of social and economic development.
