The fourth part includes speeches by Comrade Hu Qiaojiu at various ideological and cultural work conferences after the founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as talks with responsible comrades from relevant departments and localities. These speeches and talks cover a wide range of issues, including press, publishing, translation, history, education, legal affairs, theory, publicity, language and characters, literature and art, social sciences, and economic construction. The content includes tasks, objectives, nature, significance, guiding principles, policies, future planning, and specific measures and methods for certain types of work or projects, spanning a broad scope. Comrade Hu Qiaojiu, with his profound thoughts, extensive knowledge, and rich experience, not only served as the Party's leader in the field of ideology and culture but also as a specialist in this area. As a result, many of his insights remain highly scientific and practical to this day. The fifth part includes representative writings of Comrade Hu Qiaojiu from the 1930s to the 1990s, written in various styles, such as reviews, essays, sketches, short pieces, satirical writings, prefaces, publicity outlines, and commemorative articles. The content includes introductions to scientific knowledge and reflections on life's philosophy; critiques of backward and reactionary phenomena, as well as celebrations of progress and emerging forces; guidance on ideological and cultural work, praise for achievements in ideological and cultural construction and advanced individuals; and remembrances of his close friends who made outstanding contributions to China's revolution and construction. Compared to the previous part, these writings bear more of his personal ideological sentiments and unique style. Some chapters blend emotion and reason, with sincere expressions that deeply move the reader. Overall, these two parts, like the first three, reflect Comrade Hu Qiaojiu's noble character and diligent efforts in serving the Party and the people, as well as his relentless pursuit of truth and his scientific and ideological achievements, which deserve long-term commemoration and study.
