Jingju Musical Scores Collection (Volume 3)

Author: Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House

Publishing Date: 1992-10-01
Features: Our publishing house has been compiling a series titled "Peking Opera Score Collection" over the years. This collection selects plays from famous Peking Opera schools and publishes them in separate volumes based on the plays. The content includes scripts, vocal scores (some of which are accompanied by piano scores), stage directions, and gong and drum patterns. It serves as a practical manual for learning and staging Peking Opera, with strong applicability and reference value. Since its publication, it has been widely welcomed by Peking Opera enthusiasts, and some have even been used as teaching materials in opera schools. However, most of these books have been sold out, and readers frequently write to request a new edition. To promote our nation's excellent traditional culture and uphold the art of Peking Opera, while meeting readers' needs and facilitating preservation, we have slightly revised the original "Peking Opera Score Collection" and republished it as "Peking Opera Score Collection Compilation." Each volume plans to include several selected plays, and we will also compile and publish previously unpublished works in due course.
