In 1928, he became one of the members of the "Twenty-Eight Half Bolsheviks." In 1934, he returned to China, was arrested, and later defected, joining the Central Special Intelligence Department (Zhongtong) as a spy. After the liberation of the mainland, he fled overseas. This is a research-based memoir written by Sheng Zhongliang in the form of recording his personal experiences, gathering a large amount of relevant materials. The book provides a systematic introduction to the entire process of establishing and concluding Moscow Sun Yat-sen University. It also offers a detailed account of the influence of the struggle against the Trotskyist faction within the Soviet Communist Party on Moscow Sun Yat-sen University, as well as the formation of the Trotskyist faction within the CCP.
