Features: A rare modern historical series. "Reminiscences of Zheng Chaolin," written by Zheng Chaolin, who joined the CCP early in life. In 1923, he went to Moscow Sun Yat-sen University for study. In 1924, he returned to China and served as a secretary of the Central Propaganda Department and a member of the Shanghai Committee, as well as the Propaganda Minister of the Hubei Provincial Committee. In 1929, he was expelled from the party for participating in anti-party factional activities. He was one of the leaders of the Chinese Trotskyist organization. Before the liberation, he was arrested twice by the Chiang Kai-shek regime. After the liberation, he was imprisoned by the People's Government. In 1979, he was released and served as a member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Part of the reminiscences was written in 1945, and "Chen Duxiu and the Trotskyists" was written in 1980. This book provides firsthand accounts of early CCP leaders and many major events.
