From the Song Dynasty to the present day, it has been over a thousand years since the sound of Tang music has been heard. Ye Dong (1930-1989) was a music theorist and ancient score scholar. He was from Wu County, Jiangsu. In 1956, he graduated from the Theory and Composition Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and later stayed at the school to teach courses such as foreign and Chinese musical forms and works analysis. He was also dedicated to the study of ancient Tang scores. This book collects the main works and transcribed scores of the author in the field of reading ancient Tang scores, along with numerous related illustrations.
