With my capabilities, it is far from enough to complete a history of Chinese painting and calligraphy mounting. Therefore, the book raises more questions than it solves. Under the spotlight of history, even China's smallest heritage will become profound and extensive. Ten years ago, when the framework of this book was first conceived, the renowned appraiser and painter Xie Zhiliu and Cheng Shifan warmly inscribed the book's title. Today, ten years later, to maintain consistency in the series' titles, the book was renamed "Talking About Mounting and Discussing Framing," and the inscriptions by the two elders are now displayed on the (color pages).
