Foreign Philosophy (Issue Sixteen)

Publishing Date: 2004-03-01
Features: Foreign Philosophy was founded by the Commercial Press in 1984. Over the period from 1984 to 1998, it published a total of fourteen issues, pioneering a new academic style and tradition for the study of foreign philosophy in China after the reform and opening-up, and exerting a broad influence in academia. After discussions with the Commercial Press, starting from the fifteenth issue, the Institute of Foreign Philosophy at Peking University took over the responsibilities of manuscript acquisition and editing for Foreign Philosophy. To further enhance the academic standards of Foreign Philosophy, we have adopted the internationally recognized "double-blind" peer review system. In addition to continuing to publish interpretive essays on the history and classics of foreign philosophy, this journal will place particular emphasis on publishing outstanding works in areas such as the integration of history and theory, critical reviews, and comparative studies between Chinese and foreign philosophies. We sincerely hope that our colleagues across the country will lend their support and contribute their manuscripts, turning Foreign Philosophy into an academic haven where scholars gather and diverse perspectives flourish.
