Features: Chao Ge calls himself a "intellectual painter." The intellectuals he refers to are not just people with knowledge and culture in the general sense, but those with social responsibility and independent intellectual values. He deeply understands that in the contemporary reality of a mix of Eastern power desires and Western material desires, the existence of true intellectuals and the existence of their strong thinking power are truly precious. In over two decades of painting practice, he has always focused on the spiritual anxieties and crises of contemporary people. His works profoundly and delicately express various aspects of human nature, connecting painting with society, people, and complex, sensitive inner activities, which are known as psychoanalytic painting. He was born in Hohhot and grew up in a typical Mongolian family. He inherited the "essential goodness" of the Mongolians while being shaped by the unique environment of the Inner Mongolian grasslands. All of this is reflected in his paintings and also in his writings.
