Features: Through years of living in the United States and Europe, the author compares and introduces the differences between Chinese and American cultures, American and European cultures, and American and Asian cultures. The book explores various aspects such as social law, social education, social efficiency, and social culture, especially through the author's firsthand experience of surviving the 9/11 terrorist attack at the World Trade Center, revealing an unknown side of a powerful America. The United States is militarily unmatched, yet socially panicked; Americans are wealthy, yet millions face bankruptcy; it is a law-based nation, yet there are so many innocent victims of gun violence; it is an efficient society, yet its primary education is lower than China's; so many people want to immigrate to the United States, yet Chinese Wall Street residents are starting to return home to start businesses. The United States is a contradictory nation. It is a country that is guided by the devil yet believes it is permitted by God; it is a global bully yet likes to play the role of the world's savior; it is technologically advanced yet culturally poor, wealthy enough to claim half of the Nobel Prizes globally, yet poor enough to have nothing left but money. With the United States, there are many troubles, and without it, the world would fall behind even more. Without the United States, world peace would be unstable, and with it, new wars would arise. So what? You can only coexist with it in this world, whether you accept its values or not.
