Features: This dictionary is designed for middle school students and those with a moderate level of education, providing word formation and writing vocabulary. It includes over 3,700 commonly used single characters with word-formation capabilities. The single characters are arranged in Pinyin order. Those with the same syllable and tone are ordered by stroke count from few to many, and characters with the same stroke count are arranged by the order of their starting stroke shapes (horizontal, vertical, diagonal, dot, and hook). Lightly stressed characters with standalone radicals are placed at the end. Characters with multiple pronunciations are listed separately, while characters with multiple meanings are listed with ①②③. Characters with weak word-formation capabilities, as well as their phonetic items and meanings, are not included. Under each single character, example words formed from it are listed, categorized under their respective meanings. The example words are arranged by the number of characters they contain and the position of the single characters within them. Example words with the same set of characters (excluding standalone radicals) are arranged in Pinyin order. The included example words are primarily those commonly used in both ancient and modern times, with a limited number of idioms. In the example words, the same character as the single character head is replaced with a "~" symbol. Example words are separated by "|" symbols.
Index. At the end of this dictionary, there is an attached "Single Character Stroke Index."
