Features: This article, which was the first to be published in the leading essay section of the book, is a thought-provoking piece of research on the philosophy of consciousness. Based on fundamental facts of child psychology, Geng Ning introduces a distinction between original direct consciousness and derived reflective consciousness. In terms of content, the author extends the analysis of reflection from one's own intentional experience to others' intentional experience, thereby giving reflection not only an individual epistemological significance but also a social epistemological significance. In the conclusion, the author abandons certain biases in Husserl's reflective philosophy and introspective philosophy, particularly emphasizing that neither direct, naive thinking nor reflective, philosophical thinking possesses autonomy.
