Features: The establishment of cultural and art education programs in China is not very common, and the curriculum systems set by different schools vary greatly. The teaching materials used are also not standardized. Therefore, it is very necessary and meaningful to develop a high-quality set of cultural and art education textbooks. Since there is no precedent for writing a series of specialized textbooks on cultural and art education in China, the difficulty of writing can be imagined. Although this textbook was written by a teaching and research team composed of nearly 70 professors, associate professors, and Ph.D.s from the School of Humanities, with extensive home teaching experience and strong research capabilities, and with a solid backing, most of the participating teachers have published personal monographs or served as chief editors or co-editors of textbooks. Although we have determined that this series of textbooks should adhere to the principles of fundamentality, knowledge, scientificity, systematicity, and interest, the participating authors have strived to adhere to these principles, but due to the above factors, and considering the differences in individual styles and the tight schedule, there will inevitably be certain shortcomings in the textbooks. We hope the readers will provide criticism and suggestions so that they can be revised and improved in future editions.
