Every year, the China Modern Literature Museum hosts creative life exhibitions, memorial meetings, and academic symposiums for renowned writers. It also utilizes its collection to edit and publish selected works of writers, facsimile editions of classic first versions, and correspondence collections, aiming to launch a monumental series that showcases the glorious achievements of 20th-century Chinese literature. This has been the shared aspiration of all the staff at the China Modern Literature Museum. After long deliberation and careful consideration, the final selection of writers and works for China Modern Literature Masterpieces: 100 Volumes was determined. With the joint efforts of over 20 editors at Huaxia Publishing House, this grand cultural project in the history of 20th-century Chinese literature was finally unveiled on May 18, 2000, upon the opening of the new museum.
