Grottoes and important stone carvings are symbols of the economic and cultural prosperity of various stages of feudal society in China. Shaanxi not only has rich historical relics but also holds an important position in revolutionary relics nationwide. Revolutionary memorial sites declared as national key cultural relic protection units have all played significant roles in the history of the modern Chinese people's revolutionary struggles. These national key cultural relic protection units fully reflect the profound historical heritage of Shaanxi's ancient land.
