Features: This book is the supplementary volume to "The Complete Works of Shen Congwen"! "The Complete Works of Shen Congwen" includes all published literary works, academic writings, and correspondence of Mr. Shen Congwen collected to date; various unpublished works, letters, diaries, and other written historical materials have also been as comprehensively collected as possible. The complete works contain over 10 million words, of which approximately 4.4 million are works and letters unpublished during the author's lifetime. Additionally, it includes over 1,710 illustrations, nearly 200 of which are precious historical materials such as life photos, autographs, and sketches of the author from different periods. The complete works are organized into volumes by genre: novels, essays, biographies, miscellaneous writings, poetry, literary theory, correspondence, extracurricular writings, and material cultural history. Self-selected collections or standalone works previously published by the author are included in their original titles and content. If a selected collection contains works of different genres, it is categorized based on the predominant nature of its works. If multiple selected collections include the same work, that work is included only once in one volume of the complete works, with references to it in other volumes for reference. Unpublished works are categorized by genre and organized into new collections based on their publication or creation dates, or by related content, and included in the complete works. Published works, collections, or standalone works included in the complete works are as far as possible based on the earliest published text or first edition. Works edited or supplemented by the author are included in their supplemented versions; if other texts are used, explanations are provided. To preserve the original form of the works, all included works in the complete works are typeset as originally written, with necessary corrections made for obvious proofreading errors, typos, and occasional misspellings, and simplified characters used according to standard norms. The complete works are divided into 32 volumes:
Volumes 1–10, Novels, including a small number of other works such as plays in volumes 1 and 4;
Volumes 11–12, Essays;
Volume 13, Biographies;
Volume 14, Miscellaneous Writings;
Volume 15, Poetry;
Volumes 16–17, Literary Theory;
Volumes 18–26, Correspondence, including letters, discarded correspondence (i.e., drafts), and scattered diaries. Letters and discarded correspondence published before 1949 are categorized into essays, miscellaneous writings, or literary theory volumes;
Volume 27, Extracurricular Writings, including unpublished historical and reflective texts by the author, as well as literary sketches after 1949;
Volumes 28–32, Material Cultural History, with volume 32 being the monograph "Research on Ancient Chinese Clothing."
