Features: This series of books conducts case studies on Commonwealth countries. Through analysis, it attempts to reveal the different development experiences of these countries. Each country has its unique history, but in terms of development paths, Commonwealth countries share similarities. A common feature of all Commonwealth countries is that they have all experienced British colonial rule. British rule has left its mark on the history of Commonwealth countries and has influenced their development after independence. On the other hand, the modernization of all Commonwealth countries began under the stimulus of colonial invasion, so they were all forced into the modernization process. These two common points determine their similarities in the path of modernization, as the British-style development path has left a legacy in Commonwealth countries. For many Commonwealth countries, development is gradual. Violent conflicts are uncommon. The independence processes of most Commonwealth countries were balanced, allowing many colonial-era institutions to remain after independence. The continuity of institutions has ensured that post-independence development has largely proceeded in a peaceful direction, with few abrupt changes. As a result, for most Commonwealth countries, despite their diverse modernization experiences, their development paths are relatively similar, with commonalities. Most Commonwealth countries followed the British model, with fewer disturbances and more stable political situations, which are conducive to national development.
