Features: On the outskirts of Guiyang, a group of scavengers, primarily from the Miao and Bouyei ethnic groups, live. They have left behind poverty-stricken mountains for survival, and each has a heart-wrenching story, with occasional moments of joy. How did they come from yesterday, how are they navigating today, and where will they head tomorrow? What contributions do they make to the construction of the modern city, and what problems do they bring to society? The author introduces us to this community in the book.
