Features: As one of the most important financial innovations over the past two decades, financial futures have become a focal point in contemporary Western economic and financial theoretical research. Under the guidance of my supervisor, Professor Zhou Lin, I boldly chose this significant international topic as the subject of my doctoral dissertation. To this end, I extensively reviewed the latest achievements in international academic journals, obtaining a wealth of research materials. To enhance my practical understanding of the international futures market, I participated in futures trading operations in 1993, accumulating rich practical experience in the futures market, which laid a solid foundation for the creation of this work. At the same time, I was fortunate to receive assistance from many renowned domestic and foreign professors and experts. First and foremost, it must be pointed out that Professor Zhou Lin provided meticulous guidance in the selection of the topic, the formulation of the outline, and the revision of the main text of this paper. His rigorous academic attitude, profound scholarly expertise, and dedicated teaching demeanor left a deep impression on me and will serve as a model for my future scientific research and teaching. During the defense of my doctoral dissertation and the creation of this book, I was fortunate to receive guidance from Professor Hu Daiguang, Professor Li Yining, Professor Xiao Zhuoji, Professor Qin Wanshun, Professor Jin Yunhui, and Professor Liu Wei of Peking University; Professor Wang Chuanlun and Professor Wu Yifeng of Renmin University of China; Professor Qian Rongkun, Professor Chen Guoqing, Professor Wang Jizhu, and Professor Ma Junlu of Nankai University; Researchers Liu Hongru, Gan Peigen, Yu Guantao, and Zhao Haikuan of the Graduate School of the People's Bank of China; Dr. Douglas A. Scott and Mr. Bernard Laurens of the International Monetary Fund; and Professor Theodore Morgan of the University of Wisconsin in the United States. They not only fully affirmed my research achievements but also provided many valuable suggestions. Here, I extend my sincere gratitude to them all! The publication of this book would not have been possible without the support of the leadership and colleagues of the Commercial Press. Special thanks are due to Teacher Wang Yongquan of the Economic Editing Department, who meticulously reviewed and revised the preliminary draft of this book, enabling its academic enrichment and improvement. Of course, the entire content of this book basically reflects my personal academic views, and any shortcomings or errors are entirely my responsibility. However, I believe that if I can publicly share my years of research achievements with readers to facilitate communication and discussion, this will be beneficial to our in-depth research on the theory and practice of financial futures.
