Features: What is epistemology? This seems to be a very easy question—it is the study that makes theoretical statements about knowledge. It does not guide people on how to acquire knowledge; its main purpose is to understand knowledge. The objects of knowledge can be roughly divided into two types: one is universal, and the other is particular; the former is what is generally referred to as "principle," while the latter is what is generally referred to as "fact." The content of knowledge also has two types: one is universal principle, and the other is particular fact. However, because the object and content differ, we might call the universal one "ideal" or "conceptual principle," and the particular one "intentional fact" or "factual intention."
