Features: "Financial Statistical Analysis" is a relatively new course. To excel in this course, students must have a solid foundation in financial theory, understand relevant statistical data, and possess a deep understanding of the concepts and methods of statistical analysis. In actual teaching practice, we found that these very requirements often limit or even hinder students' in-depth study of the course, significantly affecting their ability to apply and research the course material in practical financial jobs. In light of this situation, we were commissioned by the People's Bank of China to compile this "Study Guide for Financial Statistical Analysis" (Revised Edition). The revised edition has the following features:
The content remains based on the textbook "Financial Statistical Analysis" (Revised Edition) by Zhao Yanyun, Editor-in-Chief, published by China Financial Publishing House in December 2000, serving as a supplementary guide for the textbook. A "Learning Objectives" section has been added at the beginning of each chapter to help readers clearly understand the main content and learning requirements of the chapter.
To enhance the "guiding" role of the book, each chapter is divided into sections, with each section including four parts: "Case Study," "Section Navigation," "Key and Difficult Points Analysis," and "Appendix."
- The "Case Study" introduces the section content in the form of a case and poses questions, prompting readers to think about the learning content and key application techniques in real-world contexts.
- The "Section Navigation" outlines the teaching approach and structure of the section, helping readers grasp the teaching logic clearly.
- The "Key and Difficult Points Analysis" is the core part of the "guiding" section, highlighting the key and challenging aspects of the teaching content. Some sections also include detailed examples with explanations.
- The final part, "Appendix," primarily covers some of the more recent financial theories and statistical methods related to the section content, serving as a reference for further study.
