Features: This book is approved by the Teaching Guidance Committee of Higher Agricultural Colleges in China and is suitable for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in soil, agricultural chemistry, plant nutrition, and related fields in resource and environmental colleges. For the second edition, we strive to reflect the advancements in soil and agricultural chemical analysis during the 1990s. The content of the soil analysis section has been slightly increased but remains largely unchanged. In plant analysis, new content has been added regarding agricultural product quality analysis. Due to the discharge of harmful heavy metal elements from industrial "three wastes" into water bodies and farmland, causing increasingly severe toxicity to plants, animals, and humans, a new chapter titled "Analysis of Inorganic Pollutants (Harmful)" has been added. The fertilizer analysis section now includes content on the analysis of inorganic compound fertilizers, with methods based on national standards. Considering that many universities have already offered separate courses on instrumental analysis, based on feedback, the chapter on "Instrumental Analysis" has been removed. To comprehensively implement quality control, improve the professional skills of technicians, ensure the quality of analytical work, and strengthen the scientific management of analytical tasks, a new chapter titled "Analysis Quality Control and Data Processing" has been added. Many units and symbols in the second edition are now outdated. In the revised edition, we have strictly adhered to the "Legal Metrology Units of the People's Republic of China" promulgated in 1984 and relevant national standards for quantities and units, making comprehensive revisions to maintain consistency throughout the book. To inspire critical thinking and expand students' knowledge, we have added discussion questions at the end of each chapter and included references for further reading.
