Features: "Review Guide for Political Theory Course of Master's Entrance Examination," has been the preferred reference book for political theory review for many years. It is renowned as the true "Red Treasure Book" for postgraduate entrance exam politics due to its authoritative content, thorough explanations, concise key points, detailed analysis, comprehensive tutorials and exercises, and full reflection of the syllabus requirements. This book is particularly suitable for candidates to memorize key points, grasp key areas, and overcome difficulties after the new syllabus is released. After mastering the basic knowledge, candidates can also practice with the simulated exercises provided for each chapter to consolidate and improve their review level and evaluate their learning outcomes. Starting this year, the book is no longer organized by the former Ministry of Education Student Affairs Bureau but by the National Higher Education Student Information and Employment Guidance Center under the Ministry of Education. The specific compilers remain unchanged. Below is a brief explanation of matters closely related to the publication of this book that candidates are most concerned about.
Compiler and Compiler
As the name suggests, the compiler is the organization or individual responsible for organizing the writing. Their main task is to introduce and connect the actual compilers. On the other hand, the compiler is like the true creator of an artistic work—they are the ones who truly determine whether the content of a book is authoritative. This year, the compiler of the "Review Guide for Political Theory Course of Master's Entrance Examination" (hereinafter referred to as "Political Theory Review Guide") has changed, but the compilers of the book remain the same. Therefore, the quality of the book fully maintains the original book's authoritative content, concise key points, comprehensive tutorials and exercises, and full reflection of the syllabus requirements. The quality of the 2005 edition of the "Political Theory Review Guide" is unquestionable.
Reason for Changing the Compiler
The reason for changing the compiler is well-known—the "Administrative Licensing Law of the People's Republic of China" took effect on July 1 of this year. Article 54 of the "Administrative Licensing Law" states: "Examinations for specific qualifications of citizens shall be organized by administrative organs or industries in accordance with law and held publicly. Administrative organs or industries shall publish in advance the registration conditions, examination methods, examination subjects, and examination syllabus for the qualification examination. However, they shall not organize compulsory pre-examination training for such examinations or designate textbooks or other preparatory materials." The former compiler of the "Political Theory Review Guide" for the past few years was the Ministry of Education Student Affairs Bureau, which is the institution responsible for higher education admissions and national unified examinations, including postgraduate admissions and entrance examinations. Postgraduate admissions and examinations are precisely the content adjusted by Article 54 of the "Administrative Licensing Law"—related administrative organs are prohibited from designating textbooks or other preparatory materials. Therefore, to comply with the "Administrative Licensing Law," adjusting the compiler has become an inevitable choice.
Introduction to the Compiler
The National Higher Education Student Information and Employment Guidance Center (hereinafter referred to as "the Center") is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Education. Established in February 1991, the Center was renamed from the former "National Higher Education Graduate Employment Guidance Center" in 1998, following approval by the State Commission for Public Administration. It is responsible for liaison with the Higher Education Student Department of the Ministry of Education, and the Director of the Center is concurrently the Director of the Higher Education Student Department. The information consultation services of the Center officially commenced in 2001. Its main responsibilities include integrating and deeply developing data and information resources in various enrollment (including postgraduate enrollment), academic record and degree management, and graduate employment work provided by the Ministry of Education, thereby serving society and educational decision-making.
Features of the Book
The 2005 edition of the "Political Theory Review Guide" continues its classic foundation while further condensing key points, making the key areas more prominent, and reflecting the changes in new knowledge points added to the 2005 examination syllabus. Specifically:
The 2005 edition of the "Political Theory Review Guide" dedicates a chapter to "Review and Examination Tips," guiding candidates on review and answer techniques. Each chapter begins with a review outline. Key points in the knowledge explanation are marked with the content and types of questions examined. Each chapter ends with a chapter summary, detailing the revisions and adjustments made to the chapter, key and difficult points for review, recent key examination points, and review precautions. At the end of each chapter, there are carefully designed exercises (including exercises for new knowledge points added to the 2005 examination syllabus), along with answers and detailed analysis to help candidates not only "know what" but also "know why" during their review and examination.
We believe that the 2005 edition of the "Political Theory Review Guide" will be even more aligned with the needs of candidates for review and examination, providing better guidance. Wishing all candidates success in their exams.
