This art collection demonstrates that his persistent pursuit has achieved remarkable results. Compared to his peers in the Yunnan painting school, who have made a great name for themselves far from Yunnan on the other side of the ocean, Chen Yongle seems to possess a deeper rootedness in his local culture, placing greater emphasis on realistic, lifelike, and beautiful depictions rooted in Yunnan, and paying more attention to artistic methods that are easily accepted by the various ethnic groups of Yunnan.
