Features: In the long course of China's historical development, it has created an exceptionally rich and splendid civilization, with distinctive national artistic works holding a remarkable position, among which painting is the most prominent. Chinese painting has a long history, unique forms, and a succession of masters, with various schools flourishing. Each different historical period has produced countless works that reflect the social life and aesthetic tastes of that time, showcasing the alliance wisdom and artistic talent of the painters. It is a valuable cultural heritage, undoubtedly holding significant historical and artistic value for building the spiritual civilization of the new era and serving as a reference for creating new art.
Our cultural undertakings are advancing at a rapid pace, with academic research levels constantly improving and achieving new accomplishments. Editing and publishing should also develop and progress accordingly. The current classified painting series is merely a product of the present stage and needs to be continuously enriched and enhanced. In the future, if key works from traditional ancient painting can be specially introduced, with their exquisite details fully highlighted, and if the inscriptions, colophons, and seals of the works are provided in dedicated plate pages, with in-depth research on the era, authors, and provenance of the works, it would be even more useful for research.
Of course, it is unrealistic to propose these higher requirements for this type of classified painting album at this stage, and we still hold hope for the future.
