Features: The soul of a pattern is beauty. The duty of a pattern is to create beauty. The existence of a pattern is to make people's lives more beautiful.
The concept of a pattern has two meanings: broad and narrow. Broadly, it refers to the pre-designed schematic diagrams for the modeling, structure, color, and decorative patterns of certain devices through technological processing; narrowly, it refers to the decorative patterns and colors on objects. The patterns in this book are our recent designs, inspired by some popular plants and animals among Chinese people. They share similarities with traditional auspicious patterns but are also different. They are rooted in tradition yet belong to the modern era, hence the name "Auspicious Patterns" to distinguish them. This book focuses on the narrow concept of patterns mentioned above, specifically decorative patterns. As a foundational work aimed at studying the common laws of patterns, readers will only see some patterns on paper. However, we hope readers can connect these patterns with (dyed and woven patterns), (embroidery patterns), and other patterns they see in life. Only in this way will our "theoretical discussions on paper" have some practical significance.
