For convenience of use, this set of books is divided into two volumes; the first volume is the textbook, which includes the texts of each lesson, word lists, annotations, lesson questions, and an index of specialized terms used in this book; the second volume is the workbook, which provides exercises for each lesson, extensive reading materials, and answers to lesson questions and exercises. The types of texts selected for this book include: news commentaries, commentaries, reports, features, teletype drafts, as well as annual economic and trade situation reports compiled by international organizations and market research reports by government departments.
