"New College German" is divided into four volumes, each with a student book and a teacher book. The main texts, listening comprehension, and unit vocabulary are accompanied by audio cassettes. Each volume consists of ten units, each focusing on a theme to provide training in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation, aiming to develop students' comprehensive language skills. Since the development of language skills is inseparable and mutually complementary, the comprehensive application of language skills is also required in real language environments. In comparison, Volume 1 and Volume 2 focus more on listening and speaking training and oral communicative activities, while also covering basic grammar. Volumes 3 and 4 continue to strengthen listening and speaking training while gradually increasing reading volume to further improve reading, writing, and written communicative skills.
