Features: Su Dongpo (1036–1101), styled Zi Zhan, was a great litterateur and calligrapher of the Northern Song Dynasty. He excelled in running script and regular script calligraphy, drawing inspiration from Yan Zhenqing and Yang Ningshi while developing his own unique style. His brushwork is rich and dynamic, with an innocent and playful charm. He is renowned alongside Huang Yanfu, Mi Fu, and Cai Xiang as the "Four Great Calligraphers of the Song Dynasty." This collection includes five of Su Dongpo's representative works: "Eulogy for Huang Jidao," "Ode to the Red Cliff," "Cold Food Observance in Huangzhou," "Spring Colors of Dongting Lake," and "Zhongshan Pine Wine Ode."
