Features: "The Silver Age" is a special period in the history of Russian poetry, lasting from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. It was a time when Russia transitioned from a closed empire to an open one, influenced by European culture. The eight representative figures of the later Silver Age were mostly born into noble or scholarly families, received excellent family education, grew up in an atmosphere rich in art, and all experienced the October Revolution. Although they did not form any groups, held different political views, and had diverse writing styles, they were repeatedly criticized by the extreme-left trends in the literary world throughout their lives. Except for Akhmatova and Pasternak, others did not even live to the age of fifty, dying in their prime. However, their yearning for equality and freedom, combined with their profound mastery of poetry as the "literary spirit," created a brilliant chapter in the history of Russian literature. Decades have passed, and when we look back and re-examine that era, savoring the words left behind by those individuals, we can still feel the burning breath, the pounding heartbeat, and the indomitable spirit. The "silver content" of the Silver Age will remain eternal.
