Features: To be honest, "Can I Hold Your Hand in My Senior Year?" (hereinafter referred to as "Senior Year") is a web serial novel that I am passionate about reading. Usually, I am a person with no patience, and if I do have interest, it's only after a very long time, waiting until the entire book is complete before reading. I waited chapter by chapter for more than half a year, read for half a year, and the charm of this novel is evident. I've also been thinking about what attracts me. I don't think it's the plot. This novel depicts university life, and the plot is quite simple. Nowadays, our palates have been numbed by many heart-wrenching plots, and those dark contents have also seeped into some aspects of campus culture, making it at least uncomfortable for me. Campus should be simpler—it's a piece of pure land preserved since childhood. The plot of "Senior Year" is quite simple, just a love story between a few people. Of course, don't imagine it to be a storm of blood and thunder, or a tangled relationship that can't be untangled. It's not complex at all; its narrative is clear like drizzling rain, refreshing and concise. Simple but not monotonous, every page and even every sentence has classic lines worth savoring. Huang Xiangzi interprets a campus that is different from both of us in a super youthful and cool tone, but the life of senior year is so close, as if it's within reach. Due to concerns about piracy, "Senior Year" was not fully serialized online. The waiting period for the book was long, but it was also filled with anticipation. Seeing many friends online caring about this book made me feel as if I had met kindred spirits. Finally, I heard that it would be published by Chunqiu Literature and Art Press, and it went on sale in early September. I couldn't wait to grab a copy to read the ending first. Now that I've finally seen the ending, I suddenly realized I've been slightly deceived. The "Water Fox" I liked so much turns out not to have liked "Xiangzi." Jingjing and Xiangzi are also heartbreaking, and it can't be called a bad ending, but there's still some regret. It's also admirable that Xiangzi managed to withstand the pressure of potential backlash from readers and refused to write a happy ending. It seems Huang Xiangzi is determined to be stubbornly humorous. I hope "Senior Year" can lead the book market to bring about a pure trend, giving a refreshing visual stimulus and making minds more comfortable and hearts lighter. Friendly reminder: Once you get the book, please avoid reading it in serious meetings or classrooms, as you might laugh without realizing it, and the consequences are unpredictable. There's a place we always cherish, and there's a feeling called nostalgia. As the four years of university approach their final destination, at the very moment of departure, Xiangzi meets two beautiful women, and the life of senior year is thus changed.
