The US Medical Licensing Examination is divided into three parts:
US Medical Licensing Examination (Part I) primarily focuses on basic medical sciences, such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and biochemistry.
US Medical Licensing Examination (Part II) primarily focuses on clinical medical sciences, such as internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, physical diagnosis, neurology, and psychiatry.
US Medical Licensing Examination (Part III) consists of questions used exclusively by medical students in the United States.
Internationally, only Part I and Part II are administered.
