Features: The third edition is divided into five parts: Part I General Introduction, Part II Protozoology, Part III Helminthology, Part IV Entomology. Additionally, to reflect the book's medical orientation and facilitate the use of clinical and preventive workers, a fifth part on Parasite Infection Diagnosis Techniques has been added. In the General Introduction section, the chapters from the second edition have been appropriately adjusted and expanded to better reflect certain recent developments in the field. In the specialized sections, efforts have been made to maintain the fundamental theories and concepts of classical biology while also incorporating progressive academic achievements. Furthermore, several new parasite species have been added, such as the Asian Tapeworm, and a section on the Xu's Naked Snouted Trematode has been contributed by Professor Cai Zhongyi of Seoul National University, Korea. The book also includes Medical Malacology as an appendix.
