Features: To comprehensively promote quality education and deepen the teaching reform of secondary vocational education, the Ministry of Education re-issued the "Professional Catalogue for Secondary Vocational Schools" and the "Teaching Syllabus for Cultural Foundation Courses in Secondary Vocational Schools (Trial)" in 2000. In accordance with the requirements of the new teaching syllabus, the number of teaching hours for cultural foundation courses increased significantly. As a result, the existing cultural foundation course textbooks for secondary health schools could no longer meet the teaching needs. In April 2001, following the unified arrangements of the Teaching Materials Office of the Ministry of Health, based on the teaching syllabus issued by the Ministry of Education and combined with the characteristics of secondary health vocational education, we developed this textbook "Mathematics" based on the "Mathematics" textbook published in 1999 by the Ministry of Health's planned teaching materials, intended for the four-year nursing program. In the writing process, we strived to revise the textbook in accordance with the principles proposed in the new syllabus: "strengthening fundamentals, emphasizing abilities, highlighting applications, increasing flexibility, moderately updating content, and balancing the system." In this edition of the textbook, in addition to rewriting and expanding some of the original content, we also added topics such as logical expressions, inequalities, vectors, complex numbers, solid geometry, analytical geometry, and an introduction to calculus.
