Publish Date: 2005-03-02
Features: This book is designed for use by three majors: Medical Laboratory Technology, Health Inspection, and Pharmacy. The book is divided into fifteen chapters, with a focus on quantitative and instrumental analysis, with an appropriate increase in the proportion of instrumental analysis. "Analytical Balance and Weighing" and "Error and Data Processing of Analytical Data" are introduced as separate chapters. Following the fundamental theory sections, there are 28 experiments listed to facilitate students in learning by connecting theory with practice and to cultivate their hands-on skills. Differences between the 3rd edition of Analytical Chemistry and the 2nd edition of Analytical Chemistry: 1. Added introductory knowledge on "Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry," "Infrared Spectrophotometry, Mass Spectrometry, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy." Added "Permanence Titration," removed "Potentiometric Titration" and "25-type pH Meter"; removed "581G-type Photoelectric Colorimeter" and "72-type Photoelectric Spectrophotometer." 2. Added introductory knowledge on "Electronic Balances," "Troubleshooting for Analytical Balances," and "Instrument Usage Precautions and Maintenance." Removed "Unequal-Arm Single-Pan Balance." 3. Removed the chapter on "Qualitative Analysis," and the common ion identification methods in qualitative analysis are now covered in the Inorganic Chemistry course.
