Features: The Ministry of Construction of the People's Republic of China organized relevant units to revise the 2004 edition of "Mandatory Provisions for Engineering Construction Standards" (Building Part) (hereinafter referred to as "Mandatory Provisions"), forming the 2002 revised edition of "Mandatory Provisions," which has been approved and is now released. It shall come into effect on January 1, 2003. The content of this "Mandatory Provisions" includes provisions directly related to the safety of people's lives and property, personal health, environmental protection, and the public interest in the current national and industry standards of engineering construction, while also considering requirements for improving economic and social benefits. All provisions listed in the "Mandatory Provisions" must be strictly implemented. This "Mandatory Provisions" serves as the basis for all parties involved in construction activities to implement mandatory engineering construction standards and for the government to supervise their implementation. The Ministry of Construction is responsible for the management and interpretation of this "Mandatory Provisions," and the Standard and Quota Research Institute of the Ministry of Construction organized China Building Industry Press to publish and distribute it. The main content of this book includes: Architectural Design; Building Fire Protection; Building Equipment; Surveying and Foundation; Structural Design; Seismic Design of Buildings; Structural Appraisal and Strengthening; Construction Quality; and Construction Safety.
