Features: The purpose of establishing the "Construction Studio" in the first year at the Peking University School of Architecture Research Center is to enable students to study architecture through their personal participation in the entire construction process, gaining an intuitive understanding of materials, structures, space, and construction. This book records the construction activities of two cohorts of students over a year and a half. The construction project was the addition of a wooden and mechanical processing workshop in the rear courtyard of the center (Beida Jingchunyuan No. 79, Room A), with an area of approximately 30m2. The first-year students Lu Xiang and Huang Yuan designed and constructed a plywood structure workshop. The second-year students Yang Fan, Zhong Peng, Huang Yi, and Han Yan designed and fabricated translucent and insulating boxes for the workshop's roof using recycled mineral water bottles.
