Publish Date: 2001-07-01
Features: This textbook strives for concise and easy-to-understand language in its narrative, and the numerous illustrations are designed to be clear and aesthetically pleasing, facilitating both teaching and self-study. Considering regional characteristics, the civil engineering drawings selected in the book are primarily derived from recent production drawings from Beijing (refined, summarized, and simplified into a mathematical version), showcasing local features. This textbook is suitable for undergraduate civil engineering-related majors in higher education institutions, such as industrial and civil construction, road engineering, bridge engineering, construction management engineering, and water supply and drainage. It can also serve as a reference or learning material for engineering technicians in civil engineering departments of vocational colleges, radio and television universities, adult education institutions, and related fields. Additionally, it can be used as a textbook for candidates preparing for higher education self-study examinations. To complement this textbook, we have also compiled the Exercise Book for Descriptive Geometry and Civil Engineering Drawing, which will be published separately. This textbook was edited by Cao Baoxin and Qi Qun from the Civil Engineering Drawing Teaching and Research Office of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The contributors include Cao Baoxin (Chapters 3, 4, 5, and 11), Pan Haidong (Chapter, Chapters 2, 7, and Appendix), and Feng Yunkang (Chapters 14 and 15). The book was reviewed by Zhang Baoquan and Ye Shengyi.
